Drill two 1/16-inch pilot holes about 2 inches from the outer edges of the goal, ¼ inch from the bottom of the rail. Center and press the rail against the base. Apply beads of wood glue along the bottom of the inside face of one short rail and along one short edge of the base. Drill ⅜-inch pilot holes at the end of each line, then cut out the goals.ģ. Draw a line connecting the three marks along the bottom of each short rail, and then freehand an arc connecting the ends of that line with the top-center mark. Place additional marks 2½ inches on either side of the bottom-center spot. On the center of the face of each short rail, make marks ½ inch from the bottom and 1 inch from the top. The fourth quarter was completely dominated by Qormi who managed to rubberstamp their victory courtesy of Clayton Gatt and Keith Calleja.Īt the end of the contest, HAM president Gordon Mifsud presented the cup to Duncan Edwards who was playing his last match for Qormi. In the third quarter, Qormi Daikin adopted an aggressive approach and they managed to score their second goal from a penalty stroke by Juan Sarcia. The first two quarters were a balanced affair with Qormi taking the lead through Keith Calleja but the Greens levelled the score through a penalty stroke scored by Karl Chircop. It was not an easy match for the Yellow/Blacks who found Floriana very much motivated to give them a tough challenge. This was an important win for Qormi after failing to clinch the title during this season. Qormi Daikin are the winners of this year’s hockey knock-out competition after seeing off Trust Payment Floriana Young Stars 4-1 in the final played at the Corradino Hockey Complex. ![]()
